Waiākea High School is a wall-to-wall academy school, meaning that all students and staff are part of an academy. Through these academies, students progress in the six General Learner Outcomes (GLOs) with particular emphasis on employability skills.

After a year of exploration in the Freshman Academy, students choose from one of 12 career pathways and join the career academy that contains their selected pathway. Academies include Industry + Technology, Arts + Communication, Health Services and Public Services.

Waiākea High School’s Academies are nationally certified by the National Career Academy Coalition. Come hear directly from our Student Ambassadors to learn what makes our academies so special! Kandi’s Drive Inn (Candace Fukuda-Hanle, Class of 1982) has generously donated chili for attendees and water has been donated by Waiākea Water (Geoli Ng, Class of 1988)!

This will be an especially helpful presentation for “future Warriors” who will be attending Waiākea High School soon, or anyone who might be interested in attending and wants to learn more.
